The AVI 8220 is a managed 2x Gigabit Combo Port and 8x 10/100 Ethernet Port switch enclosed in an AVI industrial Chassis providing on-demand network connectivity in mobile and fixed deployments in industrial environments. 

The AVI 8220 is powered by the high performance Cisco 2020 Embedded Services Switch (ESS) and provides the power of the Cisco Switching IOS® natively with two Gigabit switched interfaces supporting copper and fiber as well as eight Fast Ethernet interfaces supporting copper only.

With the AVI 8220 providing two Gigabit Ethernet or Fiber ports and eight Fast Ethernet Copper ports, coupling to other Gigabit networks and compatibility with multiple fiber/Ethernet connections is possible.

Options are available for combinations of copper and fiber interfaces by selecting type of small form-factor pluggable transceiver (SFP) media converters within the AVI 8220 chassis. Power input via mains or battery power.
